Assistant Professor

PhD in economics, assistant professor at the Department of Public Policy at the Krakow University of Economics. He specializes in political economy, macroeconomics, fiscal policy, public administration and the labor market issues in CEE countries, with particular emphasis on Poland. He published in Socio-Economic Review, Economic Modelling, Journal of Economic Issues, Ekonomista and others. Thematic editor for political economy at the Journal of Public Governance. Participant in national and international research, implementation and evaluation projects financed by the NCN, NCBiR and EU Framework Programs. He worked for the European Commission, Macroeconomic Policy Institute (IMK) of Hans-Böckler-Foundation, ETUI, the Polish Chancellery of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Development and other ministries and regional and local government units. In 2022-23, he cooperated with PwC in creating a macroeconomic model of the Polish economy. He lectures on macroeconomics, public finance, fiscal and economic policy. For the Ph.D. thesis “Institutional determinants of state budget expenditure in Poland” winner ex aequo first place in the 5th edition of the W. Wilczyński National Competition for the best doctoral thesis in the field of theory and history of economics and economic policy. Co-founder of the Polish Economics Network.
