Associate Professor of Management at Cracow University of Economics, Department of Public Policies.
Graduate of the Faculty of Trade Economics of the Cracow University of Economics, major: Economic Cybernetics and Computer Science (1982). He also completed postgraduate management studies Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School (1993). Fulbright scholar – senior research grant at Oregon State University (1996). In addition, he completed numerous internships and professional trainings.
The areas of scientific and research interests: socio-economic negotiations, negotiation processes in organizations, management of organizational relations, improvement (diagnosing and designing) pof oranizational structures and management processes within enterprises and public organizations, organizational restructuring, resolving organizational conflicts, and managing of organizational changes and development.
Author or co-author of nearly 300 scientific publications. He was the head of six scientific and research projects. He also participated in the implementation of a number of business projects and ventures related to the management of local government units.
He also has significant teaching achievements, especially in the use of active-learning methods. He managed four large educational projects aimed at developing case studies, including those financed from EU funds (at HSB in Nowy Sącz and HSIZ in Rzeszów).
He also has considerable practical experience. He conducted a number of training courses for managers, mainly on negotiations and conflict management. He participated in the implementation of about 70 expert opinions and consulting projects, mainly in the field of improving organizational structures solutions of enterprises and other institutions. He also gained practical experience as a member of supervisory boards of several companies. Official expert of the Society for Scientific Organization and Management – specialty: Organization and Management (since 1993).
He was repeatedly honored with the University Rector’s awards for scientific and teaching achievements. He was awarded the Silver Cross of Merit (2005), the Medal of the National Education Commission (2008) and the Gold Medal for Many Years of Service (2013).
